HBSi clinches two deals
April saw HBSi (an IBS Group Company) signing two deals with leading global firms - Real Resorts and Trust International - to provide them connectivity to select travel distribution partners, via the iDemand GatewayTM platform.

iDemand GatewayTM will help these two organizations integrate their service offerings as well as increase distribution reach for their partner hotels, to tour operators and other leisure travel channels. iDemand GatewayTM, an integrated channel management and connectivity solution, entirely automates the connection between hotel inventory systems and distribution channels, regardless of business model, connectivity type or geography. The system thereby enables an increase in top line revenue while reducing direct and indirect distribution costs and provides organizations the ability to quickly and efficiently expand distribution reach, eliminating manual processing altogether.

Real Resorts owns and operates five luxury resorts in and around Cancun, Mexico. Their sister company, Best Day Travel, launched in 1984 is now a significant operation, offering tours, transportation, hotels and charters to millions of travelers annually. Through its website, www.bestday.com, the company markets more than 1,300 hotels in Mexico and Latin America.

Trust International on the other hand, provides central reservations and distribution services to international hotel groups, including some of the most prestigious hotel organizations of the world. With the signing of Trust International, HBSi has made a signal debut in the Europe and Asia hospitality solutions markets.

IBS’ iFly Solution for Malaysian Airlines
MASholidays, the travel and leisure arm of Malaysia Airlines has opted for the iFly Tour. Commenting on the tie-up, Mr V. K. Mathews, Chairman and CEO of IBS Group, said, “iFly will give Malaysia Airlines and MASholidays a competitive edge by enabling them to offer customers a complete travel service by packaging air seats with non-air travel components.” iFly Tour is one among seven products that form the iFly airline passenger services solution suite - products currently in use by 17 airlines across the globe.

iFly Tour provides a complete travel solution through a single point of sale. It will enable MASholidays increase the market reach of its products using an online booking system that is integrated with real time inventory of flights, hotel rooms and other products.

iFly Tour will also offer MASholidays’ guests the flexibility to choose tours and packages that best suit their needs and budget, and settle accounts through an e-payment gateway. The system will also facilitate ancillary revenue for the airline by packaging its air seats with hotels, transfers, car rental services, tours and so on.

Dato’ Rashid Khan, Commercial Director, Malaysia Airlines, said "With this new online booking system, MASholidays will introduce the "unbundled" packages and provide more flexibility in our offerings. Our customers will be able to plan their holiday package to suit their needs and budget by looking at preferred hotels, tours, tailor-made convenience and matching it with other modes of transportation. The new solution will significantly improve back-office administration, enhance our booking process flow and upgrade our overall service to the customers. We look forward to having this system in place together with IBS and it should be ready to go live by second half of 2009".

"We will soon be online and there is nothing better than to constantly upgrade and evolve our business processes to accommodate market trends. Having a tour management system will markedly improve our back-office, which ultimately will enhance our services, delivering true customer value by being hassle-free from product research, booking and paying online, to e-vouchering and e-ticketing. Visit masholidayz.com for variety, real-time inventory and instant confirmation", said Yazid Mohamed, Assistant General Manager - MASholidays/MICE, Malaysia Airlines.
