IBS wins ’IT Systems Provider of the Year’ award

IBS Software has won the prestigious ‘IT Systems Provider of the Year’ award at Air Cargo India 2010, for its product iCargo. The award was based on a worldwide on line poll conducted by STAT Trade Times, one of the most authoritative journals in Asia Pacific providing in-depth coverage for the Shipping, Transport, Aviation and Tourism (STAT) industries. IBS’ cargo management solution iCargo was developed four years ago in collaboration with six leading airlines of the world.  Over 20 global cargo carriers, from industry leaders to start ups, have contracted for the solution since then. IBS has the single largest tech-functional team dedicated to serving air cargo industry anywhere in the world.

Key Appointments
Akshay Shrivastava has been elevated to serve as a member of the Executive management Team as the Head of Global Service Delivery - Business Services. Already a Senior Vice President at IBS, Akshay will continue to  head IBS’ Cargo Line of Business. Akshay has over 25 years of diverse industry experience in the fields of aviation IT, commercial software development and scientific research. Prior to joining IBS in 2008, Akshay worked with the Emirates Airline and Group in various capacities over a long period - the last one being that of the Head of Sales & Market Development at Mercator, the IT division of the Group. Akshay has been a member of SITA’s Cargo Strategy Group being its elected Chairman in the year 2000 andholds Masters degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering.
