Murray Smyth heads the strategically important Airlines Passenger Services (APS) line of business as well as being a member of IBS’ Executive Management Team. In his role as global head of the APS line of business, Murray is responsible for providing strategic direction in development and business growth of IBS solutions in this critical business area for airlines.

Murray has over 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining IBS in January 2010, Murray led Sabre Airline Solutions in Europe, Middle East and Africa for a number of years, with responsibility for Sabre’s airline & travel consulting, software solutions and delivery services. Before joining Sabre in London, Murray led Transport & Technology Consulting, based in Sydney, Australia, providing business performance & process improvement consulting services to airline & travel customers in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to this Murray held senior management positions with Deloitte Consulting and Unisys, developing an extensive knowledge of the airline and travel industry in all of its dimensions leading teams to deliver consulting services and solutions to the industry. Murray’s international experience has included senior roles and projects in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and the USA.
