IBS launches its unique Japan Cargo Terminal Operations system with TIACT at Tokyo’s Haneda airport


Tokyo, 02 Nov 2010 – In a significant development, Tokyo International Air Cargo Terminal Ltd (TIACT) has started using IBS’ iCargo JTO solution to manage its complete ground handling operations at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. With this IBS has formally launched its new iCargo JTO (Japan Terminal Operations) product that has been specially designed and developed to meet the unique business and Customs requirements of the air cargo market in Japan. The bilingual (English and Japanese) iCargo JTO connects directly to NACCS (Nippon Automated Cargo Clearance System) making IBS only the non-Japanese company to have the capability and certification for interfacing with NACCS.

 
NAVTECH and IBS partner to provide an enterprise solution for Crew and Fleet Management


LAS VEGAS, 25 Oct 2010 – Navtech, a leader in flight operations software and services, has partnered with IBS, a leading global provider of software solutions and services to the Travel, Transportation and Logistics (TTL) industry. The new partnership offers airlines a blend of Navtech’s Crew planning products with IBS’ iFlight Crew and iFlight Operations solutions to provide airlines with planning and day-of-operations tools to manage their crews and fleets efficiently. The union of these industry leaders provides a smart choice for those airlines looking for an integrated, efficient and streamlined process.

Navtech has two state of the art crew planning products. The Navtech Pairing Optimizer is a fully configurable engine that produces highly optimized crew pairings. All Nippon Airways adopts iCargo platform

Trivandrum, 25 Oct 2010 – IBS Software has announced that All Nippon Airways (ANA), largest domestic carrier and among top 10 carriers in the world by IATA rankings, has moved over to iCargo to manage its entire cargo movement including all international commercial cargo operations and the import ground handling operations at five major airports in Japan including automated Nippon Automated Cargo Clearance System (NACCS) interfaces. Ground handling system for import is now in production in Japanese and English languages. This is the single largest implementation for IBS’ iCargo till date spanning a period of nearly three years. The transition from the airline’s legacy systems to next generation iCargo was successfully completed on schedule – an outstanding achievement for any IT project of this size and magnitude. The system is fully J-SOX compliant (a new legislative framework of "Internal Controls over Financial Reporting" that falls within the scope of the Japanese Financial Instruments and Exchange Law). The successful cut-over has enabled iCargo to widen its footprint in Japan, a market that has traditionally been dominated by local players, and will go a long way in earning the solution a pride of place in the world of air cargo business.
 
IBS revamps Passenger Reservation System for MSC Cruises

Trivandrum, 23 Sep 2010 – IBS Software, a leading IT solutions provider to the travel, transportation & logistics industry, has successfully completed Phase 1 of upgrading its Cruise Partner™ passenger reservation system in one of the world’s foremost cruise companies, MSC Cruises. Under the multi- million Euros deal between IBS and MSC, the system is to be upgraded in four phases to be completed by 2012. The IBS upgrade, named MSC BEE, uses the latest technology to enable the reservation process for the Company’s entire fleet via the web with customized interfaces for consumers, travel agents and tour operators. The upgrade will give MSC a modern reservation & inventory management system with all the required functionalities and business rules. Underpinned by cruise specific booking flows, the new system will provide MSC the flexibility to introduce product and pricing changes quickly, improved operational efficiencies and critical control of the business. The first release also modernizes the business data set up process, saving set-up costs and providing a custom workflow that can be adapted to structure changes while ensuring centralized communications and transparency for all stakeholders.
 
IBS inks Deal with TUI Group Airlines
Trivandrum, July 20, 2010 – In a significant development that underscores its deep domain expertise and technology competence, IBS Software, the IT specialists for the global aviation industry, inked a 5 year landmark deal with TUI Group Airlines. Trivandrum, 10 June 2010: Qantas, Australia’s national carrier and one of the world’s leading airlines, has implemented IBS’ Cargo Management Solution in its international air freight division, Qantas Freight. Through this deployment, the airline has successfully migrated its global cargo sales, reservations and capacity management functions to IBS’ iCargo platform. iCargo, a new generation end-to-end logistics solution, replaced a legacy system at the end May with a cut over involving cargo operations in thirteen countries.

With this go live, the airline has started using iFly Res for its integrated reservations, ticketing, and departure control operations. The premier trade body in the country for IT and BPO, NASSCOM, has included IBS in its compilation of the top 50 Innovations in the IT-BPO sector in India for the year 2009. IBS was nominated in the category “Market facing innovation,” for its product Road Safety Management System (RSMS), an accident database management system that redefines the way road accident data is managed. Set against the background of an alarming increase in accidents and the fatalities on Indian road, several state governments are turning to technology to improve the functioning of their Transport, PWD and Police (traffic) departments. RSMS, implemented by certain State Governments, is the only proven web-based solution in its category designed for large-scale accident data system implementations for planning, managing & controlling accident data.
