IBS has developed a passenger revenue accounting system for a leading network carrier, accumulating over sixty man-years of expertise. This solution addresses major processes such as Document Stock Control, Sales Data Processing, Flown Document Processing, Interline Billing, Matching, Fare Auditing, Pricing, Prorating, Accounting and Reporting.
- Prorating
A leading airline outsourced the total responsibility for development of a mission critical application prorating system to IBS. Today, they use the system to distribute tickets accurately and quickly. In addition, they also use it to interface with other airline revenue accounting systems.
- Airline MIS
IBS is currently developing a web-enabled system, which supports strategic decision-making in a leading network carrier. The application will link all stations with the base station of the airlines and enable sharing of information between these stations and the HQ-based airport service team. Not to mention, providing details like passengers traveled, delays, downgrades, upgrades, excess baggage collected, waived details, etc of all flights in the airline’s network.
- Airline Expense Accounting & Budgeting
IBS has successfully developed a number of interfaces between airline applications and enterprise accounting solutions such as Oracle Financials. The solution receives data from airline applications as well as spreadsheets, verifies invoices and posts the data to Oracle Financials. Fleet Management Systems
The IBS fleet management systems enables planners to schedule fleets, manage fleet allocation and monitor fleet movement of a network carrier with global operations. It brings together the scheduling of flights and the actual allocation of aircraft to flights.
Fleet Assignment is done in such a way as to maximize the expected contribution and minimize the possible passenger spill. Once this is done, there will be prescribed routes, frequency, timing, and aircraft type for all the scheduled flights.

Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering
An IBS-SAP team worked closely to develop an extensive application re-engineering project for the technical arm of a leading European carrier. IBS replaced the existing Maintenance Control System and R/2 systems and implemented SAP R/3 4.5 B A&D ISO 3.0 to support the future strategies of the client. The objective was to create a Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) system based on SAP R/3 - an industry solution for aerospace and defense. Apart from developing reports and transactions as add-ons to implement the system, we enabled the migration of data from R/2 to R/3, using batch data communication programming and Legacy System Migration Workbench tool.
With the acquisition of VISaer, a leader in aircraft maintenance and engineering (M&E) software solutions, IBS is fully equipped to cater to the technological needs of the Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) business.
