IATA Strategic Partner
IBS is a Strategic Partner for IATA’s ‘Simplifying the Business (StB)’ e-freight initiative. IATA e-freight is an industry-wide initiative involving air carriers, freight forwarders, shippers, ground handlers and customs administrations. The initiative aims to eliminate the need to transport paper documents for air cargo shipments, moving to an electronic, paper-free environment by the end of 2010.

OpenTravel Member
As member of the OpenTravel IBS will be an active participant in developing travel industry e-business specifications to support information exchange among all segments of the travel industry. Membership in the OpenTravel gives IBS the opportunity to share information, network with business and technology leaders across the travel industry, and participate in the OpenTravel workgroups and sub-committees dedicated to the Airline, Cruise, Rail, Travel Integration and Hospitality industries.

The OpenTravel is a not-for-profit trade association, founded in 1999 by travel companies, with a primary focus on the creation of electronic message structures to facilitate communication between the disparate systems in the global travel industry.

HEDNA Member
IBS is a member of the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA) a global association focused on identifying distribution opportunities and providing solutions for the hotel industry and its distribution community. Membership with HEDNA helps IBS participate in the Standards Committee and the Distribution Management Committee. The Standards Committee influences industry members and organizations on the development and adoption of approved standards and industry best business practices that promote increased electronic distribution of and for hotels. The Distribution Management Committee works to address and enhance technical, marketing and standards issues relevant to hotel distribution via the internet. CTI
IBS is also a partner of CTI, an organisation which provides optimisation software allowing businesses to improve customer service and reduce operating costs. IBS uses CTI components within the iFlight Operations and iFlight Crew products.

Core Group of Influence
IBS formed a Core Group of Influence (CGI) Forum together with Air New Zealand Cargo, Gulf Air, South African Airways Cargo, Qantas Freight and Australian air Express. The purpose is to develop iCargo into a next generation air cargo and logistics management system.

The CGI influences and validates the processes and functionality of iCargo to address the current and future requirements of the industry. The six member airlines are important members of the CGI Forum because of their innovative thinking and leadership within the air cargo industry, their global positioning and regional dominance in the air cargo business.
