Imagine, every operational detail in third-party cruise line reservations taken care of?

From interchangeable cabin configuration to variable segment embark/disembark pricing?

From pricing agreements and rules engine-based discounts to commission structures?

Cruise Partner™ simplifies all this for you. Size doesn’t matter. Be it small niche players, or mega cruise lines. Our multiple web-based user interfaces offer all aspects of the cruise and associated services, including dining, shore excursions, pre and post tours, special requests, amenities, on-board credit facilities, insurance, flight arrangements and more. What’s more, cruise to third party systems such as accounting, credit card processing, etc can be integrated via XML APIs.

  • Allows multiple personalities for different booking flows based on user type
  • Provides for integration of the booking features into existing web-based shopping front ends with its XML API

Functions

Takes cruise travel to new horizons
  • Allows product availability to be quickly researched because of its extensive shopping features
  • Enables selection of the right product as availability and pricing are displayed at the same time on screen
  • Encourages up-selling as “Associated Items” are automatically presented
  • Allows quotes to be created automatically saved for later conversion. No space is held for a quote – the system automatically re-shops for the same item(s) and advises any necessary changes to convert
  • Allows deposit and option rules to be created at multiple levels. The system automatically tracks expired options, and uses the built-in queuing system to route them to a service desk for follow-up and conversion
  • Items can be pre-packaged with a completely different pricing strategy, and even retailed under a different brand
  • Supports guaranteed cabins, along with Waitlists and Super Categories
  • Allows prices to be constructed using a variety of methods. All price models also include the concept of surcharges. Pricing is fully multi-currency, and can be unrelated to currency conversion rates
  • Permits upgrade rules to be created and enforced. Commission and discount strategies are supported using either “Table-based” or “Rules Engine” methods, along with overrides, bonuses and incentives
  • Allows any combination of items, including pre-packaged Group Specials, to be created and specially priced through the groups module. Group inventory can be pre-allocated, or can be sold from general availability, depending on the group history. Group reviews, including cutback and release dates are scheduled and automatically tracked by the system
  • Enables participant invoicing to follow one of two basic models, either (a) issuance and re-issuance of confirmations/invoices as changes are made to a booking, or (b) a full official invoice and credit note methodology for countries whose tax requirements mandate this approach (in particular where support for VAT/GST is needed)
  • Comprises a full refund capability, commission payments and recovery, as well as a vendor payments module through accounts receivable and accounts payables sub-systems. Agencies may be granted credit, and provided appropriate receivables invoicing and tracking. Payments can be received against bookings, agencies or groups and disbursed appropriately. Interfaces to G/L, A/P, A/R and job cost systems are provided
  • Provides history of setup and product build, including maintenance of pricing and inventory
  • Allows for communication of critical events to key departments and staff, as well as to vendors through a queue system, with four distinct types of queues
  • Provides air routing searches and extensive airline contract features, including contract fares with its air module. The module may be used standalone or in conjunction with the optional GDS interface that provides connectivity to any of the four major GDS systems. The interface uses XML technology. The interface supports individual and group bookings (PNRs)
  • Offers a variety of methods to change booking and inventory statuses with vendors based on agreed upon reporting and requesting methodologies. This is possible through vendor notification and reporting system

Technology

Provides new generation technology, today
  • N-tier model, with segregated business logic and user interface coding
  • Web interface
  • Integrates with third party interfaces using XML
  • Comprises group by business processes, and is executed by calls to the application servers. The application server interface is based on an open system, allowing use of XML, (including SOAP & web services), as well as calls from Java, C, C++ and .NET clients
  • Uses database software of Progress Software (www.progress.com). Progress Software offers a very reliable and scalable environment

Benefits

Improves efficiency. Saves time.
  • Uses copy features extensively thus reducing product build time
  • Improves efficiency in two ways - it allows guests to book online; and to research the cruise extensively prior to calling to make a reservation, thus reducing the talk time to accomplish the booking
  • Comprises multi-lingual interface that supports B2B bookings for global sales, without the expense of hiring reservation staff with local language skills
