Here is a system that takes care of operations and reservations. One that classifies vacation segments into individual, packages, escorted tours, cruises.

Tour Partner™ accommodates multiple distribution channels, with multi-division, multi-brand marketing strategies, providing web-based interfaces for Call Center, Agent (B2B) and Consumer (B2C) reservations. Besides, the sophisticated inventory and pricing features optimize profitability, for all kinds of tour products – FIT, flexible plans, fixed departure packages, escorted tours, dynamically packaged elements, and custom-built itineraries. And of course, it comes with an XML API that allows integration to third party systems.

Functions

  • Defines multiple types of travel products, obtains inventory and defines pricing for those product types and then makes bookings against these definitions
  • Allows bookings in the system that may involve any number of travel items, people and any combination of those people at any given item
  • Support includes air, hotel, cruise, car, activities, transportation, transfers, miscellaneous, insurance and special services
  • Supports combination of travel items that can be pre-assembled into “packages.” Packages may be departure date specific or generic. The concept of individual (FIT) and escorted programs is also supported
  • Supports group travel. It can be set up to include packages or any number of individual items required. Group pricing is tailored to fit a group’s requirements
  • Each travel item has its own pricing and inventory methodology based on own requirements
  • The architecture of travel items is extensible, as new travel products may become available
  • Allows multiple selling channels. The company’s clients can be travel agencies, group travel organizers or individuals
  • Allows the company to develop multiple strategies for different types of clients based on nature and geographical location, in terms of pricing and products available for sale
  • Enables communication with travel vendors, either real-time or by other traditional methods, to obtain inventory and cost information and to allow the company to report on sales. The key example is real-time integration with airline GDS systems
  • Comes with in-built financial tracking capability, namely A/R and A/P modules for bookings and detailed integration strategy with third party financial systems
