Lead/Associate Manager - Internal Communications & Branding

Purpose of the job

To help create effective communication to engage and energize IBSians through various internal publications.

Job accountabilities

Publication management

  • Ideate, create and disseminate communication to IBSians using various internal publications - E-mail, E-newsletter, E-magazine, Podcast, Mobile App, etc.
  • Maintain and manage a calendar for internal publications and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the implementation of communication strategies
  • Ensure very high standard for content and design of all communications
  • Act as a communication consultant for internal departments and help them in rolling out special initiatives and also in making these initiatives a success through effective communication
  • Devise strategies to implement new and effective ways of communication
  • Maintain archives of publications and write-ups and ensure accessibility at all times
  • Analyze the effectiveness of internal communications by conducting regular surveys and take steps to improve upon the survey feedback

Content management

  • Write, review and proof-read articles for internal publications
  • Research and collate information on the company’s activities/achievements
  • Connect and collaborate with people/teams to track and record activities/achievements
  • Create and follow a style manual to maintain a consistent style for internal communications
  • Establish and maintain high quality as per IBS standards and industry best practices

Branding

  • Provide creative support to branding initiatives and events as and when required
  • Guide/assist individual departments in achieving their branding goals
  • Identify and report anything adversely impacting brand image of IBS, both internally and externally. Ensure that necessary corrective actions are taken by the organization

Job holder profile

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Skill and creativity to produce high-quality publications
  • ‘Eye for detail’, to ensure adherence of communication to corporate policies
  • A person with extraordinary drive, initiative and commitment to work
  • A good understanding of employee engagement needs and practices
  • A university graduate, preferably with a degree/diploma in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism or equivalent experience (5 - 10 years)
  • Proven experience in the production of print and digital communication is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to empathize with readers and other stakeholders is an added advantage for this profile
  • Apart from the above, the jobholder will have all the required skills that any IBS staff is expected to have - honesty, integrity, communication and social skills and will take efforts to align to the corporate culture and communication of the organization
